I have never been one of those people who thinks it's unhealthy to sit down and enjoy a good movie. There is nothing wrong with relaxing after a hard day's work to travel through Middle Earth with Frodo, or take a ride on the Starship Enterprise, or enjoy a romantic comedy featuring the hottest stud you've ever seen in your life.
Every once in a while I'll see a really, really great movie and when I walk out of the theatre, everything around me feels different. The brilliant, intricate story combined with dazzling special effects alter my perspective on life ever so slightly. Perhaps it's my abnormally strong sense of imagination, but I really feel like I've been living a different life for the last 2 hours. Once the movie ends and I'm back in my own world, I get an incredible sensation of renewal that can last for several hours. It's kind of a thrill and the movie is still so fresh in my mind that I can easily slip back into my most favorite parts of the story with ease. It's much like waking up from a wonderful dream that stays with you the rest of the day.
I'm not sure if anyone else is affected by great movies in this way, but I thought it would be fun to share with you 5 movies that left me feeling tingly all over after they finished. In no particular order of course...
Have you seen any movies that made your world feel different?
