March Madness Is Coming! ...And I'm Not Talking About Football.

It’s March! Any Irish dancer knows what that means… THE MADNESS BEGINS! As we get close to St. Patrick’s Day, everyone wants Irish dancers to do a show, and we are happy to provide! Since I started dancing nearly 8 years ago, The Shelley School of Irish Dance has always had it’s busiest season in March.
When I was a kid, all St. Partick’s Day meant was wearing green all day so I didn’t get pinched. Now the month long festivities make the holiday a bigger event than Christmas. I’m very proud to be a part of The St. Partick’s Day entertainment and love just how busy it gets every time the holiday rolls around.
We dance at downtown parades, small shows for parties, last year we even did a half-time show for The Utah Jazz. Multiple shows every week, and lots of extra practice so when you get on stage, you’re ready with a reel or jig whenever the occasion demands it. The Shelley School will also be holding it’s annual recital this month, and this year each class will be performing movie-themed choreography! It’s going to be a blast.
Every show is a wonderful celebration of Irish culture and I just can’t wait to get started. I’m feeling the madness… are you?
